Privacy and refunds

Who is responsible

This site is run by Jakub Stefan Szydłowski, who is responsible for your personal data. For any question about your data, write to [email protected].

What this site collects

The site itself collects nothing: it has no cookies, forms or tracking. The hosting company, Cloudflare, processes visitors' IP addresses for a short time to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks, and counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.

Emails

If you write to me, I receive your name, email address and whatever you include in your message. I use them only to reply and, for commissions, to carry out and bill the work. My email is handled by Cloudflare (forwarding) and Google (Gmail).

Donations

Donations are processed by Stripe and Ko-fi. I never see your card or bank details. I receive your name, email address, the amount and the date, which I keep to record donations and for tax purposes. Stripe and Ko-fi handle your data under their own privacy policies.

Legal basis

Carrying out a commission you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), my obligations under tax law (Art. 6(1)(c)), and my legitimate interest in answering messages and keeping records of donations (Art. 6(1)(f)).

How long I keep it

Messages: as long as needed to deal with them. Records of donations and commissions: 5 years from the end of the year they relate to, as Polish tax law requires.

Outside the EU

Stripe, Google and Cloudflare may process data in the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict its use, to object to it, or to receive it in a portable format. You can also complain to the Polish data protection authority: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl.

Refunds

Donations are voluntary gifts and are non-refundable. Terms for commissions, such as a deposit, are agreed individually before work starts.
